Serbian Green Opal – Serbian Dream

Green Treasure from Serbia

With the discovery of Serbian Green Opal, a beautiful opal with an exceptionally invigorating colour has been found, and is growing more popular every day.
The colour ranges from tender spring green, through bright apple green, to deep dark forest green. The green colour is caused by small traces of nickel and serpentine, which enriches the usual colour palette of opal with the shades of another gemstone species.

The Serbian Green Opal has harmonizing qualities and brings regeneration. It promotes and represents peace and the will to live.

Mining and processing

Serbian Green Opal was discovered in 1992, in Kosovo, Serbia, at a zinc mine near the border to Macedonia. The mining was stopped in 1995 and could be resumed only after the year 2000.
