Emil Weis Opals - behind our company name, a team of some 15 opal experts and enthusiasts support the four company owners: Jürgen Schütz, the managing director responsible for purchasing and sales, who loves to travel to the opal fields of the world; his wife, the proverbial good soul of the company; Michael Weis, a master stonecutter and the head of stone production; and Tanja Schütz, who, as the daughter of the Schütz couple, is the company's successor and is not only responsible for trade shows and exhibitions, but also for sales and in-house management.

Emil Weis Opals is not only involved in the purchase and distribution of opals, but also in their further processing. To this end, we maintain our own production facility with an in-house lapidary and goldsmith workshop, and consequently employ trained gemstone polishers, facetters, and a goldsmith.

As a player in the international opal business, the Emil Weis Opals team also includes specialists who take care of the often-complex formalities surrounding shipping, customs (export and import), and accounting, who ensure that your desired opal reaches you quickly and safely. And it takes proven opal specialists to represent us at trade shows worldwide, and to actively maintain and expand a far-reaching network through customer visits around the globe.
