Purple Dreams. Fluorite Opal is considered one of the most unusual opals in the world. This stone is found only in a very small area close to Delta in the western desert of Utah/USA. There, in the Brush Wellman beryllium mine, which is not accessible to the public, very little of this rare opal is mined. This opal was discovered around 1970 and consists mainly of opalized fluorite and is often mixed with many other minerals such as agate, chalcedony, dolomite, rhodonite, manganese oxide, and beryllium. The base color is purple, lavender and creamy white with portions of yellowish-brown and black beryllium in different shades. This opal is also known as Tiffany Stone, named after the world-famous glass, which it resembles a lot.
It is said, that through the Fluorite Opal one can recognize the existence as a game, that it boasts creativity and that it provides relief from allergies, skin and respiratory problems, infections and cough, and degrades massive amounts of power.
Director of company Jürgen Schütz regularly visits every single opal field to ensure a constant supply of the rare raw material.
